The event invitation was sent to us via email today. We’re pretty sure we’ll see the Samsung Galaxy A71 and the more affordable Samsung Galaxy A51 make their local debut.

Earlier, we reported that the product listing for the A71 has been posted on Samsung’s local website. It’s now also up for preorder. The Galaxy A51 likewise appears on the site, but only on the support page.

It was previously reported that the Samsung Galaxy A71 could retail for around P22,000 or $433 converted when it arrives in local stores. Which would make sense, because its predecessor, the A70, was originally priced at P21,999 ($452) here.

The A71 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a cutout at the top for the selfie camera and a 2,400 x 1,080 resolution. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 with Adreno 618 graphics, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone has a vertical quad-camera array on the back, with a 64-megapixel main sensor and 12- and 5-megapixel secondary cameras. Meanwhile, the front camera is 32 megapixels.

For all-day battery life, the built-in cell is rated at 4,500mAh and supports 25-watt fast charging over USB-C. And the handset will launch with Android 10 out of the box, making it one of the first Samsung devices with the latest operating system from Google.

As for the Samsung Galaxy A51, the phone sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has an Exynos 9611 processor and a 4,500mAh battery that allows fast charging up to 25 watts.

It features four cameras on the back as well, headlined by a 48-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing camera is also 32 megapixels. Similarly, the Galaxy A51 runs Samsung’s One UI skin on top of Android 10.

The phone costs ₹23,999 (P17,132 or $337) in India, so it will likely be priced at roughly P18,000 ($354) when it launches in the Philippines.
