When a device bags certifications after certifications, chances are its launch is just right around the corner.

(Update, May 26: This has finally been launched! Read Realme X3 SuperZoom with up to 60x zoom now official.)

The Realme X3 SuperZoom with model number RMX2086 has already been certified by Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission; Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority; the Eurasian Economic Commission; India’s Bureau of Indian Standards; the Bluetooth Special Interest Group; and most recently, Malaysia’s SIRIM QAS International.

You know what that possibly means: that it’s only a matter of time before Realme announces the smartphone’s launch.

Based on published information, it looks like the Realme X3 SuperZoom does not support 5G, as only GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks are mentioned. The handset has Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, and dual-SIM connectivity.

The X3 SuperZoom has also been spotted in Geekbench’s database with benchmark scores of 788 and 2,624 in the tool’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The motherboard is “msmnile,” which represents Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus, the same chip that powers the X2 series’ flagship, the Realme X2 Pro. Other revealed details include Android 10 (Realme UI) and 12GB of RAM.

The rumor mill says the phone could have a 108-megapixel main camera and a lens that has high zooming capabilities — the latter, more of an expectation because of the unit’s name.

The Realme X2 series was not launched in the Philippines. Does this mean there’s a low probability that the Realme X3 SuperZoom will become available in the country? We’re getting ahead of things, we know, but it’s still something to think about, no?
