After revealing the hotly anticipated console in full, alongside the games it will launch with when it arrives in stores this holiday 2020, Sony is expected to announce the price of the PlayStation 5 today or sometime this week.

We know this because several preorder pages for the Sony PS5 have been published on Amazon earlier, with dedicated websites now live in the U.S., Europe, India, Brazil, and Australia. The pages were gathered by Elato Gaming senior partnerships manager Miguel Lozada on Twitter. In the Philippines, local retailers have teased the Sony PlayStation 5 on their social media channels, so a local price announcement might be next.

Though there are currently no official prices attached to the listings above, that could change soon. There are many preorder pages for Sony PS5 games posted on Reddit as well, though most are not available for purchase at the time of writing.

The latest rumors suggest the PS5 will retail at $499 — or around P24,696 in Philippine pesos. This is probably for the digital edition without a Blu-ray disc drive; the regular version will likely cost at least $50 (P2,475) more. It is said to launch November 20 worldwide and November 14 in Sony’s home country of Japan.

Here are some games announced for Sony’s upcoming console:

  • NBA 2K21
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Horizon Forbidden West
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Godfall
  • Returnal
  • Jett: The Far Shore
  • Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this story for the rest of the day. If you want to do the same, it couldn’t hurt.
