Xiaomi‘s upcoming midrange phone will be the sequel to the POCO X2, a rebranded Redmi K30 which skipped the Philippines and many other markets, although things could change with the POCO X3. It is also rumored to debut the brand’s first original design since the Pocophone F1.

The 8nm Snapdragon 732G is a gaming-focused upgrade over the X2’s Snapdragon 730G and brings an overclocked Adreno 618 GPU that provides up to 15% faster graphics performance versus the previous generation. Its performance Kryo 470 Prime core runs at up to 2.3GHz. There’s also NFC and Bluetooth 5.0, and the Wi-Fi chip supports Wi-Fi 6 connections.

POCO marketing manager and global spokesperson Angus Kai Ho Ng has already confirmed the presence of a 64-megapixel camera sensor on the POCO X3. The sensor is configured to use quad-pixel binning to produce a lower-resolution 16-megapixel image with better color and less noise.
