A day after Xiaomi’s Redmi launched its first gaming phone, another Xiaomi sub-brand has made its latest model official, this time in the Philippines.

The Black Shark 4 is now up for preorder at the brand’s store on Shopee, which is operated by local distributor Grimalkin. There are three available variants, and they’re priced as follows:

  • 8GB + 128GB: P26,990 (around $557 converted)
  • 12GB + 128GB: P29,990 ($619)
  • 12GB + 256GB: P34,990 ($722)

Freebies include Black Shark face masks, powerbank, and T-shirt and a pair of Xiaomi Mi In-Ear Basic Earphones, which will be given to early adopters on a first-come, first-served basis. Grimalkin didn’t say when the preorder period will end, so we tried to buy a unit using our Shopee account. Shipping, the app says, is in 30 days.

Interestingly, the Black Shark 4 that’s now also up for pre-purchase at the official Black Shark shop on Lazada Philippines is cheaper for a limited time, has a 6GB/128GB variant, and gets an earlier delivery date (earliest is May 3). What’s more, we think the freebie, a gaming cooler, is more useful. Check out the offers below:

  • 6GB + 128GB: P24,950 ($515), will be available May 10 for only P21,950 ($453)
  • 8GB + 128GB: P26,990 ($557), available today for P23,950 ($494)
  • 12GB + 128GB: P29,990 ($629), will be available May 10 for only P27,450 ($566)
  • 12GB + 256GB: P34,990 ($722), available today for P32,990 ($680)

There’s no mention of the Black Shark 4 Pro, so it’s either the more premium model is not coming here or it will be released at a later date.

The Black Shark 4 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chip, a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED FHD+ screen with a refresh rate up to 144Hz and touch sampling up to 720Hz, pop-up physical shoulder buttons, and a 4,500mAh dual battery that supports fast charging up to 120 watts. Good news for durability nuts? It aced YouTube channel JerryRigEverything’s test.
