After a round of teasers and previews, Infinix Mobile has announced a new gaming-focused smartphone in the Philippines. Say hello to the Infinix Note 10 Pro, the souped-up version of the Helio G85-based Infinix Note 10, which silently launched late last month with a suggested retail price of P7,990, or around $158 converted.

(Update, August 12: Our Infinix Note 10 Pro review is up! Check it out here.)

In the Philippines, the Note 10 Pro is priced at P9,990 ($197) and will be available locally beginning August 12.

And like its stablemate, the Infinix Note 10 Pro offers noteworthy specs fit for gaming and multimedia purposes, including a sizable 6.95-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch-sampling rate. A higher refresh rate results in a smoother picture, and going from a 60Hz panel to a 90Hz one will show a noticeable improvement, particularly when navigating the user interface and playing games that support frame rates above 60 fps.

Another spec that gamers will find beneficial: a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset under the hood. The G90T is the same capable chip inside the Infinix Zero 8i and Zero 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. You also get 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage to go along with the processor.

There’s a quad-camera setup at the back that can take sharp pictures courtesy of its 64-megapixel main sensor. The Note 10 Pro carries a 16-megapixel selfie snapper in its punch-hole screen. As for the battery, the 5,000mAh built-in cell, which supports 33-watt fast charging over a USB-C port, should be enough for long gaming sessions.
