Welcome back, HONOR. Almost two months after it announced that it’s coming back to the Philippines, the former Huawei sub-brand has finally launched its first smartphone offerings in the country.

The HONOR Magic4Pro and three X series models are now official locally. They will be available at more than 600 partner stores nationwide and are already listed on the company’s shop on Lazada with the following suggested retail prices:

  • HONOR Magic4 Pro: P52,990 (roughly $896), with free HONOR Watch GS 3 worth P11,990 ($203)
  • HONOR X7: P9,990 ($169)
  • HONOR X8: P12,990 ($220), with free HONOR Band 6 worth P1,990 ($34)
  • HONOR X9: P14,990 ($254)

The Magic phone, of course, is a premium device, boasting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and GPU Turbo X graphics-acceleration technology; a 6.81-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate , a 1,920Hz PWM dimming feature, and 12-megapixel and ToF sensors housed in its dual punch-hole cutout; and a 4,600mAh battery that supports 100-watt wired and 100-watt wireless fast charging.

The Magic4 Pro also comes with an IP68 water- and dust-resistance rating and ships with Android 12-based Magic UI 6 with access to Google Mobile Services out of the box.

A key spec of this flagship smartphone is a rear camera system headlined by a 50-megapixel wide camera with advanced 7P lens and another 50-megapixel sensor for ultrawide and macro shots. It lets you zoom in an object up to 100x, create professional-grade movie with Magic-Log pro mode, and take HD photos while video recording.

The HONOR X7, HONOR X8, and HONOR X9, on the other hand, are for those looking for handsets that are easier on the pocket. The three are all powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chip and have access to GMS as well. They also pack a 90Hz IPS LCD screen, a rear camera setup with four cameras each, and a fingerprint sensor on the side that doubles as a power key. You can see and compare their specs at the end of this article.
