The phone will be available for purchase from August 15 in the Czech Republic for Kč11,999, which translates to roughly P30,297 or $550 converted. Price in other markets hasn’t been revealed yet. Notably, the vivo V29 5G drops the color-changing signature feature that made its predecessors stand out in the highly saturated midrange market. It will come in plain Peak Blue and Noble Black colors.

There’s no word on the vivo V29 Pro 5G, though an international launch is expected to be imminent. We previously spotted a listing for the Pro variant on vivo’s Philippinel website, revealing its key specs.

The device will feature a 6.7-inch OLED curved screen with a 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, alongside a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast wired charging up to 66 watts and a memory configuration offering 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For taking pictures, the vivo V29 Pro 5G packs a triple-camera setup headlined by a 64-megapixel main image sensor and a 50-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.

According to reports, the V29 Pro 5G has also been listed with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset under the hood on the Geekbench website. It reportedly scored 4,394 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 14,677 in the multi-core test.

As for the regular vivo V29 5G, the device is built around the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip, which we’ve seen in other midrange models over the past years. It retains the 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display of the vivo V27 5G, as well as its 50-megapixel selfie camera and 50-megapixel primary rear camera with the brand’s own Aura Portrait flash system that acts as a tiny ring light for low-light portrait shots. This year, vivo’s Aura Portrait flash has been improved with a color temperature slider, allowing you to shift between warmer and cooler tones depending on the user’s preference.

You still get a 4,600mAh battery, but the charging speed has been bumped up to 80 watts from last generation’s 66-watt FlashCharge standard. Additionally, the newly launched model now has an IP68 rating for dust and water protection and an upgraded VC Bionic Cooling System that incorporates liquid cooling for lower temperatures when gaming.
