Vivo has already begun teasing the Y17 Pro and NEX 3 on its local social media accounts, suggesting that at least one of these new models will arrive by the end of the month or early October.

Yet there’s another Vivo handset you may want to keep an eye on, especially if your budget does not stretch to a midranger like the V17 Pro, let alone a more expensive and highly specced flagship like the NEX 3. Vivo has opened preorders for the Y12, priced at P7,999 (about $154) in the Philippines. The presale period will last until September 27 and will get you a free umbrella.

You can book your order in Vivo stores and partner retailers nationwide or online through Lazada. The Y12 is available in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red gradient colors.

The phone’s headline features include a triple-lens camera setup with a super-wide-angle lens, a 6.35-inch HD+ LCD screen with a dewdrop notch at the top, and a 5,000mAh battery backup that should last days on a single charge. It also supports reverse charging, letting you charge other devices you may have lying around using the Y12’s battery.

In addition, the Y12 runs Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie on a MediaTek Helio P22. The processor is paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. For convenient unlocking, the handset is equipped with a fingerprint sensor at the back and facial recognition using the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
