POCO X3 GT confirmed to launch in the Philippines, too

One of the official regional Xiaomi Facebook pages has revealed that next week’s launch of the POCO X3 GT will be the phone’s Southeast Asian debut. It was initially reported as an announcement for the Malaysian and Singaporean markets.

While Xiaomi has not revealed yet what the POCO X3 GT is except that it’s “speed past power,” several certifications indicate that it’s the global version of the China-exclusive Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

If accurate, then expect the upcoming POCO model to have a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 inside. The 5G chip, which debuted on the Vivo S9 5G, is fabricated on a 6nm process. It also integrates ARM’s Cortex-A78 core, which flagship processors Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and Samsung Exynos 2100 likewise use as one of their big cores alongside a faster Cortex-X1 prime core.

Expect the POCO X3 GT to feature a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Victus can reportedly give twice the level of scratch resistance versus Gorilla Glass 5 and is four times as scratch-resistant as the competition.

The smartphone should come with a 64-megapixel main rear sensor primary shooter, assisted by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There should be the following, too: a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout, stereo speakers tuned by JBL, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67-watt fast wired charging, and Android 11-based layered with MIUI.

In China, the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is priced as low as ¥1,499 (around P11,598 or $232 sans taxes) and as high as ¥1,999 (around P15,466 or $309). Assuming that the same memory configurations will become available in the Philippines, expect the local pricing to be in that range.
