And we have a date. OnePlus‘ upcoming flagship smartphone is confirmed to be unveiled January 4, 2022, in China.

The brand itself posted on Chinese social-media platform Weibo that it is already accepting reservations for the OnePlus 10 Pro, with pre-sales going live at 10 a.m. on the 4th next month. There’s no word yet on when the device is coming to the global market — or if the company will launch other OnePlus 10 series phones soon as well. But we’ll let you know as soon as we get an update.

So what details have been confirmed thus far? OnePlus cofounder and OPPO chief product officer Pete Lau has already revealed that the Pro model features an LTPO [low-temperature polycrystalline oxide] 2.0 screen, allowing the refresh rate to go as high as 120Hz or as low as 1Hz, depending on what you’re doing. The handset is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chip, which debuted on the Motorola Edge X30 and will be seen in the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro next.

How the OnePlus 10 Pro could look

As for the rumors, the OnePlus 10 Pro will supposedly be priced from around $1,069 (roughly P53,704). It is said to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80-watt fast charging, 163.2×73.6×8.7mm dimensions, and a Hasselblad camera.
