Brace yourselves for an onslaught of Android devices with an Apple iPhone X-like notch design. You’ll see them everywhere in the Philippines soon.

Up first is the Vivo V9, which will go on sale for P17,990 (roughly $345) starting April 6, 2018. The ASUS ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z will be up next, with a release slated for April 14 — unless OPPO Philippines schedules its F7 first-day sale earlier than that. Which we doubt.

That’s not to say that the smartphone won’t be released in the country soon. Make no mistake, it will be. Besides teasers mostly starring Filipino celebrity love team Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto — or JoshLia — there are already dummy units of the OPPO F7, and we spotted them at a mall in Metro Manila earlier.

We must admit that we didn’t expect to see them today. Check out the pictures we hastily took below.

According to the OPPO salespeople we had talked to, the device will be available around third week of April. Price should be more or less like that of the Vivo V9. And there will be two color options: Solar Red and Moonlight Silver.

If you want to check out how the OPPO F7 looks in person, head to the nearest OPPO concept store near you. Chances are, there will be one. These are its specs, by the way:

  • 6.2-inch LCD display; 2,280 x 1,080 resolution (19:9)
  • MediaTek Helio P60 processor
  • 4GB/6GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB expandable storage
  • 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash
  • 25-megapixel front camera
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • 3,400mAh battery
  • Android 8.1 Oreo

OPPO Philippines concept stores should already accept preorders for the company’s newest “selfie expert”; you just need to make a down payment of P1,000 ($19). Of course, you’ll get a freebie with your purchase. The salespeople mentioned Olike. As for which Olike product, they didn’t say.
