Realme Philippines has started teasing the Realme Buds Air on social media. And we’re excited. After all, they’re the brand’s first truly wireless earphones. What’s more, they are affordably priced at ₹3,999 (around P2,868 or $56) in India. We’re expecting them to cost a bit more here. P2,990 (around $59) perhaps? Just a guess.

Realme Buds Air teaser

The Realme Buds Air use a custom R1 chip with Bluetooth 5.0 to facilitate an instant connection between your smartphone and the earbuds, accessible smart controls, and longer battery life. The promise is up to 17 hours of music playback on a single charge, with the 14 hours provided by the bundled charging case.

The interesting thing about the wearable device? Even though the Buds Air are wallet-friendly, they offer USB Type-C charging and can even be charged wirelessly, thanks to the case’s support for the Qi wireless standard.

The earphones feature dual-channel transmission with low latency, which should be great for gamers; a 12mm bass boost driver; environment noise cancellation for calls; and a “weight you can almost ignore,” as Realme describes them. They happen to come in our favorite “Revü yellow” color. Of course, you can always opt for the more classic white or black option as well.

When will the Realme Buds Air be launched in the Philippines exactly? When are they going to be released? Will the company also unveil a smartphone alongside the wearable? We’ll know the answers soon, for sure. Stay tuned.
