We reported two days ago that the Realme Buds Air, the company’s first true wireless earphones, will be launched in the Philippines soon, following a short teaser published by Realme‘s local arm.

Well, it turns out the earphones will arrive sooner than expected, as a listing for the Realme Buds Air has already been posted on Lazada Philippines. It’s a placeholder for now, so the price currently listed isn’t the final one.

But it also explicitly states that the cost of the buds is going to be revealed January 22. The product description, however, notes that the price reveal is happening a day earlier, on January 21.

Realme Buds Air price-reveal schedule: January 21 or 22?

It’s unclear if any of the aforementioned dates will also serve as the Buds Air’s first day of sale on the online store. But we have a feeling it’s coming soon. It is also worth mentioning that the only color listed on Lazada is white, leaving us to wonder whether the yellow and black variants will be available on the same day as the white variant.

In India, the Apple AirPods lookalike Realme Buds Air cost ₹3,999 (around P2,865). They’re likely a bit more expensive in the Philippines because of higher taxes.

To recap, the earphones offer two compelling features in their price range: a USB-C port for wired charging and support for wireless charging. The magnetic charging case is compatible with the widely adopted Qi wireless standard, meaning you can use any Qi-compatible charger to juice it up wire-free.

Realme has managed to include a touch sensor and a 12mm driver in each earbud. There’s also environment noise cancellation for calls, dual-channel transmission technology, and a multi-layer composite diaphragm for the drivers. For gamers, the earphones have a dedicated gaming mode with low latency for an immersive experience when playing games like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The Realme Buds Air likewise offer auto-connection function, in-ear detection, and Google Assistant integration. They use Bluetooth 5.0, which is not only smarter and more efficient compared to older technologies, but also provides better range.
