Alleged key specifications, that is. A person known for leaking details of upcoming devices claims that he already has information on Xiaomi‘s Redmi Note 9 Pro.

(Update, March 13: And the series is official! Read Redmi Note 9 Pro, Note 9 Pro Max with SD 720G launched.)

According to Ishan Agarwal, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, which is in line with previous rumors. And there are supposedly two memory configurations: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

Available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White,and Interstellar Black, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is said to come with a 48-megapixel main camera paired with 8-megapixel ultra-wide and 5-megapixel macro and depth-sensing sensors. The selfie camera, placed in a punch hole on the upper-left side of the big, 6.67-inch screen that’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Powering the unit is a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18-watt wired charging. Now this bit is different from an earlier report saying that the Redmi Note 9 Pro is equipped with a 4,920mAh battery with support for 30-watt fast charging.

You see, a phone with model number M2003J6A1G — believed to be the Pro variant — was spotted on the site of the Federal Communications Commission regulatory body. Could it be that the said unit is actually the rumored Redmi Note 9 Pro Max?

There are only three days left before the March 12 launch of Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 9 series, so at least the wait for confirmation should be bearable. Till then.
