Xiaomi has already announced the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, as well as the Redmi Note 9S, which is essentially the Redmi Note 9 Pro for international markets such as the Philippines.

However, as it turns out, the Chinese technology company isn’t done with the Redmi Note 9 series just yet. Images and some key specifications of a phone believed to be the Redmi Note 9 have been posted on China’s TENAA certification website. Other rumors say it could be rebranded as a POCO phone in India.

The listing doesn’t bear the actual name of the handset with the model number M2003J15SC, but it will be part of the Redmi lineup when it launches. The supposed Redmi Note 9 is a 4G-only device, so it should be pretty affordable.

On the outside, it will sport a quad-camera setup in a square module similar to the Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. Interestingly, there’s a physical fingerprint reader just below the module, which further suggests that it could be priced lower than the Redmi Note 9 models released earlier.

The main camera is 48 megapixels, whereas the other sensors are not known at this point. It’s likely that the Redmi Note 9 will sport dedicated cameras for super-wide, macro, and portrait shots. The front-facing camera is listed with a 13-megapixel sensor. It is located in a punch hole in the left-hand corner of the screen.

According to TENAA, the device in question also has a 6.53-inch display with 2,340 x 1,080 resolution. There is no mention of the refresh rate, but expect the panel to refresh at the standard 60Hz rate. It will also come with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM memory options along with up to 128GB of storage.

The processor is said to be a MediaTek Helio G80, which will likely run MIUI 11 based on Android 10. If the chipset sounds familiar, it is the same chip in the Realme 6i. Additionally, the rumored Redmi Note 9 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 22.5-watt fast charging.
