Just a few days after a leaked poster shows that the Vivo X90 series is scheduled to launch globally January 31, 2023, the brand has revealed that its latest flagship lineup is heading to the Philippines.

In an email sent to us at Revü, Vivo said: “Another groundbreaking innovation in smartphone engineering will be brought by Vivo to the Philippines soon. Behold as the new Vivo X90 series will be unveiled — bringing an even better and more powerful technology for the world to see. This new addition of masterpiece in the Vivo X lineup comes with even more advanced mobile-photography capabilities. Designed in partnership with Zeiss, the X90 series features outstanding, professional-level cameras which photography enthusiasts will surely love.”

Recall that the Vivo X90 Pro Plus, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 debuted in China in November, with the Pro Plus model launching as the first smartphone to use the 1-inch, 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset. The other two X90 variants, on the other hand, are the first handsets to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9200 5G flagship SoC. Prices start at ¥3,699 (P29,227 or $531).

Vivo Philippines stopped short of disclosing which of the three models will become available in the country. However, we’re afraid there’s only a slim chance the top-end Vivo X90 Pro Plus will be released here.
