The Pro member of the OPPO Reno8 series has landed in the Philippines, more than three months after OPPO‘s Reno8 and OPPO Reno8 Z 5G phones were launched locally.

(Update, December 29: The OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G is now available to prepaid users in the Philippines, too!)

According to the company, you may now get the 12GB/256GB OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G with Globe’s GPlan 1499, which offers free 10GB of data and 3GB of GoWifi per month, unlimited calls and texts to subscribers of all networks, and an individual subscription to KonsultaMD. There’s a cashout of P18,000 (around $327), but each postpaid subscription also comes with OPPO Enco Air 2 TWS earbuds and an OMNI adaptor as freebies.

Launched globally in July 2022, the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G is equipped with the 6nm MariSilicon X imaging processor that debuted in the flagship Find X5 lineup — which should help improve nighttime photography and 4K videography. A 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor is assisted by 8- and 2-megapixel cameras for ultrawide and macro shots. Up front, housed in a centered punch hole, is a 32-megapixel IMX709 RGBW unit.

The smartphone likewise features a 4,500mAh battery that supports up to 80 watts of fast charging; MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100-Max 5G, the same custom chipset that’s in devices such as the newly announced OPPO Reno9 Pro; a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5; and Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1.

There’s no word yet if the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G will be available to prepaid subscribers, but we’ll update you on the price if it does go to retail.
