The OPPO Reno8 5G has a new variant in the Philippines, bringing more performance and flair to OPPO‘s premium-midrange smartphone lineup. Its local arm today launched the 12GB/256GB Sunkissed Beige model in the country.

The new version features a beautiful gold paint job with a glossy finish alongside the series’ signature rounded-square camera bump and angular frame design. The OPPO Reno8 5G in Sunkissed Beige is priced at P29,999 (around $536 converted). You can purchase it starting tomorrow, January 6, from the usual retail channels, including OPPO stores and partner retailers nationwide and e-commerce platforms Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. It will also be offered to Globe and Smart subscribers with data plans at a later date.
As a bonus, in-store customers are entitled to a P1,000 ($18) discount on OPPO accessories priced above P3,000 ($54), such as the fantastic OPPO Band 2 wearable or OPPO Enco Air2 Pro TWS earbuds, until January 31, 2023.

Locally, the base, non-gold OPPO Reno8 5G with 8GB RAM has a suggested retail price of P27,999 ($500), while the more wallet-friendly OPPO Reno8 Z 5G sells for P19,999 ($357). That makes the Sunkissed Beige variant only P2,000 ($36) more than the standard model, so you should definitely consider it if you’re already eyeing the company’s midrange handset.
The Reno8 5G boots ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 to ensure a smooth and feature-rich Android experience out of the box. The rest of the specs remain the same, meaning you get a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1300 5G chipset, a triple-camera system headlined by a 50-megapixel image sensor and dedicated ultrawide and macro cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery that supports OPPO’s incredibly speedy 80-watt SuperVOOC charging technology, among other attractions.
