Antutu Benchmark has released its latest rankings of top-performing flagship and sub-flagship Android phones for the Chinese market. And guess what? There’s a new top dog in both premium categories.
The recently launched iQOO Neo8 Pro now rules the rankings and the Android space, posting an average of 1,358,352 points, well ahead of other high-end devices listed by Antutu. In China, the Neo8 Pro is priced at ¥3,099 (around $438 or P24,486 converted) for the base model with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but can go up to ¥3,399 ($480 or P26,856) for the top-of-the-line kit with 512GB storage.
The smartphone debuts the new MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus 5G chipset coupled with class-leading LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. On top of boasting the industry’s fastest components, it also packs a massive vapor-cooling chamber, which is likely the reason it performed extremely well in Antutu’s synthetic tests.
The OnePlus 11 moved to second place ahead of the OPPO Find X6 Pro, notching 1,324,440 points against the Find X6 Pro’s average score of 1,307,816. The iQOO 11 Pro and Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro Plus, neck-and-neck in the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, round out the top five in the flagship segment with 1,306,644 and 1,306,508 points.
With the exception of the iQOO Neo8 Pro, all devices in the current flagship rankings are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform. Perhaps more notably, April’s top performer, the ASUS ROG Phone 7, has been bumped off the list for unknown reasons.
Moving to the sub-flagship category, the realme GT Neo5 SE takes the crown, with a score of 980,078, followed by the Redmi Note 12 Turbo in second place. The Note 12 Turbo was last month’s top Android in the premium midrange. Like the GT Neo5 SE, it uses Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor, which offers similar performance to the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
The vivo S16 Pro, iQOO Neo7 SE, Redmi K60E are in the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively. All three share a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip alongside 12GB of RAM under the hood.
