The world’s biggest smartphone manufacturer has scheduled its second Unpacked event for the year for July 26 at 7 p.m. Philippine time. The global launch is happening in Seoul, South Korea, for the first time. You may not be able to be there in person, but you can watch the livestream on the company’s website, Samsung Newsroom, and its YouTube channel.

The event is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 alongside the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Leaks show the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is more interesting than ever, what with the phone getting a much larger 3.4-inch cover screen. A larger panel, of course, is more useful, as it will let the brand incorporate more features into it.

Expect at least a 6.7-inch foldable AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same customized Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 5G chipset found in the Galaxy S23 series, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, and color variants such as blue, green, yellow, pink, gray, and beige. As for charging, the Galaxy Z Flip5 might retain the 25-watt wired charging standard we saw on its predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, on the other hand, is said to have the same foldable look as the Fold4, although the hinge is reportedly redesigned to allow the device to close up entirely and eliminate the gap between its screens when folded.

There could be a 6.2-inch outer display, a 6.76-inch inner panel, a customized version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, up to 1TB of built-in storage, a 4,400mAh battery that supports fast wired charging up to 25 watts, IPX8 water resistance, and IP58 dust resistance.

The Galaxy Z Fold5’s rumored triple-rear-camera setup could pair a 50-megapixel main sensor with two 12-megapixel cameras for ultrawide and zoom shots. Expect an upgraded 12-megapixel selfie shooter on the outer screen and a 4-megapixel under-display camera, too.
