A flagship OPPO smartphone from the company’s Reno series is set to launch October 10.

This one’s exciting for us because the device, called OPPO Reno Ace, will debut with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus — the same chipset found in handsets like the ASUS ROG Phone 2, Black Shark 2 Pro, and Vivo NEX 3. The chip will be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.

The Reno Ace will also the first phone to come with a 65-watt SuperVOOC 2.0 fast-charging technology. The feature can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in under 30 minutes. Imagine that.

Official renders of the device were shared just recently, but now, photos of a live unit have leaked online. The color variant of the OPPO Reno Ace seen in the pictures is blue. Note that green and purple versions are expected to be offered, too.

Here, you can see four cameras arranged vertically at the center of the back panel, right above the logo and “Designed for Reno” marking. A listing on Chinese certification site TENAA previously revealed that the setup is composed of sensors with 48, 13, 8, and 2 megapixel counts.

The screen is said to measure 6.5 inches, has a 2,400 × 1,080, and — this should be interesting for OPPO fans — boasts a fast refresh rate of 90Hz, which should make it ideal for activities like mobile gaming.

The screen has a fast refresh rate of 90Hz, just like those of the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 Pro. That should make the phone ideal for activities like mobile gaming

There’s a waterdrop notch at the top of the display, and it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

And another one

The launch event is happening first in China, but we’re pretty sure more unveilings will happen this holiday season. Hopefully, the OPPO Reno Ace will become available in the Philippines, too — and at a price that’s easier on the wallet.
