Days after revealing the March list of best-performing Android phones released in China, Antutu this time has published its global counterpart.

A Samsung handset topped the ranking for flagships while a Xiaomi unit ruled the midrange category.

Top 10 for flagship smartphones

With the international launch of smartphones powered by this year’s high-end chips, we’re not surprised that the ASUS ROG Phone 2 was finally dislodged from the top. It had to settle for fifth place.

Notching an average score of 562,262, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 beat the Taiwanese company’s entry in the premium category. It was followed by another Snapdragon 865 device, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus.

Four other Samsung Galaxy S20 series models made it to the list, all of which are powered by the Korean manufacturer’s own high-end Exynos 990 processor.

The OnePlus 7T and Realme X2 Pro Snapdragon 855 Plus smartphones took the eighth and ninth spots. Rounding out the list was the Snapdragon 855-powered OnePlus 7 Pro.

Top 10 for midrange smartphones

Unlike the ranking above, the handsets included on the top 10 list for midrange units in March didn’t change as much. Antutu has attributed this to the lack of new phones with 5G SoCs in the global market.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro, which uses a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, still landed the No. 1 spot on Antutu. Following it were devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon chips inside — four Xiaomi smartphones, two Samsung models, and three Realme units.
