School has resumed or is just around the corner for many students in the country in the form of online classes.

If you’re looking to score new gear or upgrade your child’s current distance-learning setup, then now’s the perfect time to check out Huawei Philippines’ ongoing back-to-school promo, which gives us some good deals on laptops like the Huawei MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15. See the devices included in the promotion in this video.

Online-learning essentials

To recap, every purchase of a Huawei MateBook D 14 or MateBook D 15 laptop, which starts at P37,990 or around $783 converted, comes with a free Huawei B311 router and backpack worth P3,780 ($78). The MateBook D series features AMD’s Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors that are capable of handling most serious workloads, including photo and 1080p video editing, as well as some casual gaming.

The video you just saw? Edited on the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro on a MateBook D 14 equipped with a Ryzen 7 CPU. It can even run Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at a solid 30 frames per second, despite relying on integrated graphics for the visual goodies.

Meanwhile, the Huawei FreeBuds 3i are a pretty good pair of true wireless earphones with active noise cancellation and removable silicone tips for added comfort and noise isolation. They’re great for virtual learning, as school systems are especially reliant on video-conferencing software like Zoom to handle all the load with classwork and social interactions.

Locally, the FreeBuds 3i are priced at P5,990 ($124) and come with a charging case. Getting a pair during Huawei’s back-to-school promotion period will net a free case and a steel bottle worth P2,000 ($41).

Finally, there’s the Huawei Watch GT 2e, which is an affordable fitness-centric smartwatch offering a two-week battery life and tons of workout modes to choose from. The fact that it looks like a regular watch and has a round OLED screen are icing on the cake.

As part of the promo, every purchase of the Watch GT 2e, which costs P6,990 ($144), will be bundled with a free CM510 wireless speaker valued at P990 ($20).
