We are excited about its impending arrival because besides a big, 5,000mAh battery with support for 18-watt fast charging, the Helio P35-powered, 6.35-inch Y17 also boasts three AI [artificial intelligence] cameras on the back. This makes the smartphone the first Vivo midrange handset to feature a triple-rear-camera setup.

A 13-megapixel main camera is paired with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and — get this — an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle shooter with 120 degrees field of view. If you’ve been eyeing the Vivo V15 and V15 Pro because of the said feature but are short of budget, you may now consider getting this.

In India, where it was launched April 24, the Vivo Y17 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at ₹17,990, or roughly P13,465 when converted to Philippine pesos and $260 in U.S. dollars. If the one rolling out to stores here is the same variant, it will probably cost between P13,999 ($270) and P14,999 ($289).
