The Vivo NEX 3 has been launched in the Philippines, marking the first time the company is bringing over a flagship smartphone.

We’re getting the 4G model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage at a suggested retail price of P39,999 (around $783). The units will be available on November 9, with preorders happening until November 8.

There are many compelling features packed into this premium handset. Still, one feature that stands out (quite literally) is the impressive array of cameras in the circular camera module on the Vivo NEX 3’s glass back.

There is the main 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 — which can also be found in smartphones like the just-launched Realme XT — and 13-megapixel telephoto and ultra-wide sensors.

The 1/1.7-inch primary lens can gather more light, which means you get brighter, more detailed pictures. It shoots 16-megapixel photos by default, but you can toggle the 64-megapixel shooting mode to get as much detail as possible in the frame. Also, the ultra-wide lens works as a dedicated macro camera.

The Vivo NEX 3’s waterfall screen will appeal to gamers and media junkies who want a fully immersive experience that isn’t interrupted by a camera cutout or notch

Another significant feature of the Vivo NEX 3 is its outstanding 6.89-inch waterfall, aka curved, OLED screen with a 2,256 x 1,080 resolution. This type of display will appeal to gamers and media junkies who want a fully immersive experience that isn’t interrupted by a camera cutout or notch. With a screen-to-body ratio of 99.6% and an extra-wide aspect ratio of 20:9, there’s so much you can see.

Vivo sacrificed physical buttons to make this immersive display possible. In their place, you get capacitive sensors with haptic feedback. The power button is relegated to the area beside the pop-up 16-megapixel selfie camera on top.

The screen also houses an in-display fingerprint reader. It supports HDR10 and P3 wide color gamut for more realistic colors.

As a true flagship, the Vivo NEX 3 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. It has Funtouch OS 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 44-watt, fast wired charging.
