Could it be that the Huawei Y6s will have company when it launches in the Philippines, likely on November 27 at the company’s next local event? We’re talking about the Huawei Y9s, which has been launched in markets like Thailand alongside the Y6s. We remember a retailer telling us that Y series phones will be introduced here.

The latter, as we’ve reported, will be priced at P6,990 (about $137) in the country. The midrange Y9s will no doubt fetch a higher price tag, though it also comes with better specs and a more premium design that is reminiscent of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019’s, with its pop-up selfie camera and triple camera setup on the back.

The Huawei Y9s is available in black and a gradient color scheme similar to the P30 Pro‘s Breathing Crystal variant.

The Y9 Prime 2019 was released in the Philippines back in July for P12,990 ($255) but now costs P11,990 ($236). The Y9s, if it indeed comes here, might retail for P12,990 ($255), even though it has a sharper rear-facing camera. Take note that in Thailand, it is priced at ฿7,990 (P13,468 or $265).
