We wrote about the Redmi 9 yesterday, June 5, and detailed the alleged specs and images of the phone which previously surfaced on the web. The entry-level handset — which has been listed on Xiaomi’s website, by the way — is supposed to launch anytime soon.

(Update, July 2: Our review is up! Read Redmi 9 review: Does it meet, exceed, or betray expectations?)

(Update, June 25: We’ve unboxed it! See Watch: Redmi 9 unboxing, hands-on video.)

(Update, June 15: And it’s official! Read Redmi 9 priced from P6,990 [$139] in the Philippines.)

Now, we spotted the Redmi 9 on Lazada Philippines, complete with specs and (unofficial) pricing. Even better, you can already preorder the handset online, ahead of its official unveiling.

Interestingly, the Redmi 9 is sold under one of Lazada’s LazMall partners, Xiaomi Mall, which means the products sold by the retailer are guaranteed authentic. Plus you get better after-sales support if anything goes wrong with your purchase. The shipping and payment options are also more preferable than a regular Lazada merchant.

Do keep in mind, though, that the Redmi 9 listed by this particular reseller doesn’t have official local warranty from Xiaomi’s Philippine distributor, Grimalkin. So you may want to reconsider your decision to go for a gray import.

If you’re still interested, the Redmi 9 from this online store starts at P6,990 (around $140 converted) for the phone with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, while the 4GB/64GB storage variant is priced at P7,490 ($150). The preorder is scheduled to end in a couple of hours, so we don’t know if you can still make your purchase after today.

Of course, the smartphone should officially go on sale in the Philippines at some point in the near future, so you may want to wait for its official local release.
