One of the most affordable smartphones with a high refresh rate is now official in the Philippines. Following the release of the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro, the company’s local arm has given us everything there is to know about the Realme 7i, including its pricing and availability.

(Update, October 22: Our full review of the Realme 7i is up!)

The 7i will be available in the Philippines beginning October 22 at Realme‘s official brand stores on Lazada and Shopee. Even better, Lazada and Shopee customers will get P1,000 (around $21) off the price of the handset — which retails at P11,990 ($247) — for a limited time.

Offline sales start October 24. Those who purchase the Realme 7i at physical stores will receive a free Realme Band worth P1,390 ($29). Home Credit will also extend an interest-free payment plan for the phone up to six months, whereas major credit-card holders can take advantage of a zero-interest payment scheme that can stretch as long as six months.

To recap, the Realme 7i features a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz screen for smoother operation, particularly when navigating the homescreen and certain apps. And make no mistake: This is currently one of the cheapest phones in the Philippines with a fast display. Most smartphones, including some flagship-grade devices released in 2020, are limited to 60Hz.

On the inside, the 7i is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 — one of the first to do so. The chipset is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which are quite generous for the category. Similarly, the 5,000mAh battery is sizable and supports 18 watts of fast charging over a USB-C connection.

Around the back, the rear-camera module packs a 64-megapixel camera, while the 8- and 2-megapixel secondary cameras sport dedicated lenses for ultra-wide, macro, and monochrome shots. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, has a 16-megapixel sensor and f/2.0 aperture lens for brighter selfies in low light.

We’ll publish our full review of the 7i soon, so be sure to read that piece if you’re wondering whether Realme’s latest handset is worth the money.
