Huawei Philippines has announced the pricing and availability of its most advanced — and easily most attractive — smartwatch yet. Yes, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is now official in the country and available for pre-purchase until November 19 on Lazada, Huawei Store Online Philippines, and select physical stores nationwide.

Customers who participate in the preorder period will receive freebies worth up to P7,380 (around $153). If you buy the smartwatch now from Huawei’s official online shop, for example, you’ll get free Huawei FreeBuds 3i true wireless earphones and a Bluetooth speaker. Currently, the only variant sold in the Philippines comes with a black watch band, which you can easily replace with any 22mm strap you have lying around.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is priced at P11,999 ($249), which is an excellent price for a smartwatch that offers all sorts of premium features, including a titanium frame with a glossy, skin-friendly ceramic back and a sapphire watch dial for added wear resistance. It is also 5 ATM water-resistant, allowing the watch to accompany users from the pool to the shower.

Like on the standard Watch GT 2 that came before, the glass is seamlessly incorporated into the frame, giving the illusion that the bezels around the OLED screen are a lot smaller than they actually are.

The touch display is 1.39 inches, with 454 x 454 resolution. Taking advantage of its big and sharp screen, the Watch GT 2 Pro launches with a selection of over 200 watch faces, including dynamic ones that show real-time data.

Similar to Huawei smartwatches in the GT line, the GT 2 Pro runs the tech giant’s LiteOS on a HiSilicon Kirin A1 chipset for wearables and brings familiar features, such as notifications from your phone, extensive health and fitness tracking with GPS and 24/7 blood-oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring, built-in storage for local files, a speaker and microphones for voice calls, and Android and iOS compatibility.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is also a great smartwatch for fitness enthusiasts — on paper, at least — supporting over 100 workout modes. For us, though, the most significant upgrade here is the inclusion of Qi wireless charging, which means it can charge on most wireless chargers and the back of certain Huawei phones that support reverse wireless charging like the P40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro.
