It’s not only the Honor 70 and Honor Magic 4 Pro that are expected to launch in the Philippines. Yes, there’s more.

(Update, September 22: These 6 HONOR devices are launching in the Philippines on September 27!)

Based on the devices in one of the latest teasers of Honor Philippines, three X series 4G phones will also be offered to Filipino consumers — the Honor X7, Honor X8, and Honor X9. There are 5G versions of the latter two models, but why do we say the ones coming here are the LTE variants?

First, let’s take a look at the smartphone with the squircle-shaped camera module. Correct us if we’re wrong, but the color is silver. Only the Honor X8 4G has a Titanium Silver color option, hence our assumption.

Now, let’s check out the handset with the circular camera module. The Honor X9 4G version’s LED flash is located at the top, while that of the 5G model is located on the lower-right side. Unless the former Huawei sub-brand itself used the wrong image, then that is clearly the LTE-based Honor X9.

Honor X series launch teaser for the Philippine market

Anyhow, let’s assume that we’re right. Expect then that the trio will be fielded as the most affordable offerings of Honor Philippines. The Honor 70, of course, is a midranger, and the Magic 4 Pro, a flagship smartphone.

The Honor X7, X8, and X9 all use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset; come with a 90Hz IPS LCD screen at varying sizes, four-camera setup on the back, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor; and run Android 11-based Magic UI 4.2 with Google Mobile Services.

In Malaysia, these were the phones’ prices at launch:

  • Honor X7 (4GB/128GB): RM699 (around P8,833 or $153)
  • Honor X8 (6GB/128GB): RM999 (P12,618 or $219)
