The global list of top-performing Android phones in Antutu Benchmark for December 2018 has been released. And unsurprisingly, the Kirin 980-powered Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, and Mate 20 X phones reign supreme in the rankings overall.

You might recall that the Mate 20 series also received top scores in the Antutu Benchmark listing for China back in October last year. The Huawei Mate 20 again tops the list this time with an average score of 306,608. The Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X achieved the next highest benchmarks in that order, with 303,313 and 300,759.

As always, these scores take into consideration factors such as screen resolution, which gives the Mate 20 an upper hand over the Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X in overall performance, thanks to its smaller (compared to the Mate 20 X), lower-resolution 1080p screen. The fewer pixels a device has to power, the higher its score is in general.

The gaming-focused ASUS ROG Phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and 8GB RAM under the hood comes in at fourth place, followed by the OnePlus 6T.  The OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Mi 8, Black Shark, and Pocophone F1 round out Antutu’s last top-10 tally for 2018. In case you haven’t noticed, all the phones listed here use either the Huawei-made Kirin 980 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.

Antutu notes that the scores were collected over the period December 1 through December 31 from at least 1,000 test results from each device running version 7 of the Antutu Benchmark app for Android. Apple’s iOS devices are featured in a separate ranking.

With the release of Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-based phones looming in the next few months, expect this order to change much over the course of the first half of 2019.
