And then there are two more. The Reno lineup has been updated in the Philippines with the media launch of the OPPO Reno8 and OPPO Reno8 Z 5G smartphones that the brand calls “portrait experts.”

(Update, September 1: The OPPO Reno8 5G & OPPO Reno8 Z 5G have launched in the Philippines. See prices, freebies, and postpaid, Home Credit, and credit-card offers here.)

However, OPPO says it will announce the price of each handset at the public launch scheduled for September 1. Both are already up for blind preorder in the country, though. You just need to make a P1,000 (around $18) down payment. Those who’ll purchase any one of the Reno8 series phones from today, August 22, even until September 9 will receive free OPPO Enco Buds earphones worth P1,699 ($30).

As we reported a week ago, the OPPO Reno8 Z 5G is likely priced at P19,999 ($356), which is similar to how much the Reno7 5G is currently selling for — at least at the time of posting this article. But we’re not surprised about that. After all, the new model’s specs are essentially the same as its predecessor’s.
