Here’s some good news for you, Realme users. The company is gearing up to update some of its recent smartphones to Android 10 in the first and second quarter of 2020.
The first three devices to get the update between January to March include the Realme 3 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, and Realme XT. Meanwhile, those getting an upgrade in the second quarter are the Realme 3 and Realme 5.
One other good piece of news from the company is that the upcoming release of ColorOS 7 will bring a heavily requested feature: a closer-to-stock-Android user interface for this build.
Another good news: The upcoming release of ColorOS 7 will bring a heavily requested feature: a closer-to-stock-Android user interface
Realme CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed this in a recent #AskMadhav video. ColorOS, in its current state, is heavily customized, so we definitely welcome this news.

What isn’t clear, though, is when ColorOS 7 will be available. It also isn’t clear if the user interface is based on Android 10. But when Sheth was asked about ColorOS 6.0.1 update, which is already available on the Realme XT and Realme 5, he said, “Why 6.0.1? Let’s directly roll out ColorOS 7.” The statement suggests ColorOS 7 rollout is happening soon.
Realme is expected to launch the Realme X2 Pro in India next month. Already unveiled in China less than two weeks ago, the phone is considered the brand’s first true flagship, so that might be an appropriate time to introduce a new software experience, too.
