Finally. In a bid to allow more Filipinos to enjoy 5G, the Philippines’ No. 1 smartphone brand has launched the lone 5G model of its current number series.

We’re referring to the Realme 8 5G. And the best part? It’s aggressively priced, getting a suggested retail price of P11,990 (roughly $246 converted) for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That’s not all. You have these options as well:

• If you buy the unit from Realme‘s official store on Shopee on June 25, its first day of availability in the Philippines, you can get the phone for only P10,490 ($215) — and with free shipping at that.
• Every purchase of the Realme 8 5G at the brand’s authorized stores comes with a free Realme Buds Q valued at P1,490 ($31).
• You can buy the handset via Home Credit at a six-month installment plan without any interest. Installment plans for major credit cards are available, too.

At the heart of the Realme 8 5G is the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700, which has two Cortex-A76 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores as well as Mali-G57 MC2 graphics. For uninterrupted usage, there’s a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18-watt fast charging and Smart 5G Power Saving feature. The 6.5-inch Full HD+ screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and a maximum touch-sampling rate of 180Hz.
