Huawei Philippines’ newest “star” is scheduled to be launched in the Philippines tomorrow, November 19. But news flash: The company has announced the smartphone’s price and preorder details ahead of the official unveiling.

According to the technology giant, the Huawei Nova 9 retails at P23,999 (around $477 converted). And if you preorder the device from a Huawei Experience Store, online Huawei store, Shopee, or Lazada anytime between today and November 25, you get a free Huawei FreeBuds 4 and Huawei Cloud benefits valued at P9,449 ($188).

Call the Nova 9 a light version of the Huawei P50 series phones, the Pro model of which currently ranks as the No. 1 camera phone on DxOMark. Why? Because for the first time ever, the company has brought the RYYB Color Filter Array and XD Fusion Engine from its flagships to the midrange segment. They allow the new Nova to take clearer and sharper pictures and videos even in extremely low-light situations.

The rear-camera setup pairs a 50-megapixel Ultra Vision main sensor with 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth-sensing lenses. The front camera inside the punch hole, on the other hand, is 32 megapixels. Expect features such as 4K Selfie Video, Continuous Font and Rear Recording, and Dual-view Video. There’s the Petal Clip app, too, should you need to share videos with your followers on social media; it’s for easy editing of clips.
