The Xiaomi Redmi 6A, the company’s most affordable 18:9 entry yet, is set to go on sale in the Philippines tomorrow, July 23, alongside the Redmi 6. And to sweeten the deal even more, Xiaomi Philippines has announced that customers will be able to purchase the Redmi 6A online at a lower price than previously reported — for a limited time.

Xiaomi is on a roll. Besides opening stores left and right in different countries, it is now listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, too. Here in the Philippines, it’s opening the third Mi Authorized Store at SM North EDSA in Quezon City. And just today, it has launched the Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A, successors to the Redmi 5 and 5A.

In both a lateral and vertical sense, Xiaomi has expanded its line of budget smartphones with the introduction of the notched Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. It’s the company’s latest and most affordable entry in the trend of devices designed to look like the Apple iPhone X. And when it arrives in the Philippines soon — the date to circle could be sometime this month or in August — it will probably take the place of the Vivo Y81 as the cheapest notched phone at local retail.
