And it’s official! The Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G smartphone is indeed going to be available in the Philippines, bringing the fifth-generation mobile network to a more affordable level.

Unveiled end-April in China along with the Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7, the Nova 7 SE is priced at P19,990 (around $400 converted) locally. That’s competitive pricing right there, especially with the value the 5G device offers. We’re currently reviewing it, and we’re loving the phone so far. Truly. What’s more, the preorder bundle makes the Huawei Nova 7 SE 5G an even more enticing option. The company says those who preorder the unit from June 12 to June 21 will get a free Huawei Freelace valued at P3,490 ($70) — on a first come, first served basis. There are also other benefits to bring the total worth of freebies to P6,287 ($126).

The Nova 7 SE 5G will officially be the first Kirin 820 smartphone in the Philippines when it launches June 12. The chip is said to be as powerful as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The latter is used by flagship devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 lineups.

This “supernova” also features a 64-megapixel quad camera — up from the 48-megapixel quad-lens system on the Huawei Nova 7i; a 16-megapixel selfie shooter housed in a punch hole at the top-left corner of the 6.5-inch screen; and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor like on the Huawei Nova 5T. It likewise boasts a 4,000mAh battery with support for 40-watt fast charging and Android 10-based EMUI 10.1, which debuted on the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Plus.
