So there is indeed a Pro version in the Vivo V20 series. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has gone official alongside the regular V20 in Thailand.

(Update, October 6: We have the Philippine launch date!)

(Update, September 29: Hello, Philippines: Vivo V20 series coming to the Philippines soon.)

(Update, September 24: The SE version is official! Read Vivo V20 SE debuts with 32MP selfie cam, 48MP rear cam.)

But while the company hasn’t divulged the price and full specs of the latter — probably because the official launch is really on the 24th in Malaysia — everything about the V20 Pro is already out.

Available in Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz, and Moonlight Sonata colors, the smartphone is priced at ฿14,999 in Thailand. That should be roughly P23,158 in Philippine pesos and $478 in U.S. dollars.

The Vivo V20 Pro is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. One of its main highlights is what the brand calls a “44-megapixel eye auto-focus selfie camera.” Understand that eye tracking produces more accurate pictures, and this is what premium devices like the Huawei P40 Pro Plus and Huawei P40 Pro offer.

You can take ultra-wide self-portraits, too, along with many selfie videos: 4K at 60 frames per second, slow-motion at 240fps, super-steady, and dual view, among others.

The Vivo V20 Pro 5G also features a 64-megapixel triple shooter on the back, with a camera module that’s designed like the one on the Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro 5G.

Rounding out its specs are a dual-punch-hole AMOLED screen measuring 6.44 inches, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 4,000mAh battery with support for 33-watt fast wired charging, and Android 10.

Do they sound familiar to you? If they are, then maybe because you have come across articles on the China-exclusive Vivo S7 5G, which is endorsed by Korean pop group Blackpink’s Lisa Manoban there. We can now say that the Vivo V20 Pro 5G is the global version of the S7. Fair enough. Stay tuned on September 24 for the Vivo V20’s full details and the launch of the Vivo V20 SE.
