After years without a clear successor, OPPO’s high-end Find series will finally add a new phone to its ranks, with the launch of the Find X slated for June 19 in Paris, France. So much has been said and written about the OPPO Find X that there seems to be nothing left for us to, well, find out. Then today happened.

The OPPO Find X TV commercial has finally debuted in China, just hours before the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia kickoff. The timing is great, considering the TVC stars Brazilian Neymar, the world’s highest-paid football player.

We know that we’re just a week removed from OPPO launching the Find X on June 19 in Paris, France. But in terms of specifications and features, what should we expect from the upcoming top-of-the-line smartphone?

OPPO’s first true flagship smartphone in years will be formally unveiled this month at a global press event happening in Paris, France. The OPPO Find X has the launch date set for June 19.

The OPPO Find X will be launched a few weeks from now, marking the revival of the company’s flagship series. So we’re not really surprised to see leaks of the smartphone trickling online.

Let me make this a personal note. Anyone who has read my bio knows that I used to work at OPPO. I joined the company in 2015, after my Yahoo and TV5 stints. Throughout my stay at the Chinese tech giant, I had hoped for a flagship phone that would succeed the OPPO Find 7. I had left not seeing that hope fulfilled. But this year will probably be different. This year, we’ll finally have the OPPO Find X.
